Using

Within the Lahn-Dill-Kreis, every year some 66.000 t of residual refuse are being collected. These quantities of residual refuse are being transported to a mechanical-biological refuse treatment plant (MBA) in Asslar-Bechlingen being operated by the Trockenstabilatanlage Asslar GmbH & Co. KG .

In this MBA, the residual refuse is being cut up and dried. After metals, glass and inert materials (sands, stones, soil etc) have been sorted out, the so-called dry stabilate is left over after a certain treatment and this dry stabilate is being used primarily as a secondary fuel in cement plants and power stations.
