Using

Within the Lahn-Dill-Kreis, every year some 4500 t of waste glass are being collected. Collection is being realized via the contractual partner SITA Mitte GmbH & Co. KG that take the waste glass to a temporary store of the Refuse Industry Centre in Asslar. From there, the waste glass is being taken to glassworks where it is being re-used. Waste glass is a valuable secondary raw material that can almost be re-used limitlessly. Nowadays, glass bottles can consist of waste glass up to 80%.
